Chill, God is in control.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. Psalms 16:9

We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall. Psalms 16:33

When we throw the dice we think it is by chance that they fall as they do. At least that is what we think.

Until we read verse 33.

God determines how they fall.

Wow. Probabilities, constraints do not apply to God because He controls all things.

Probabilities are man-made attempts to understand the unknown. To draw patterns from.

Probabilities are useful but we learn from this verse that nothing happens by random chance. God controls the outcome of even dice falling – every time.

We make our plans but God is the one who decides our actual steps. What we actually do.

Both of these verses tell me that God is in control – of everything. This is VERY comforting to me.

As I struggle in a difficult situation at my job, I am reminded that I am here because of God’s plan, not by chance or randomness. I’m not here to suffer by chance – that just sucks.

God has me here (I don’t know why yet) as part of His plan.

And I’m praying diligently for Him to open a new door for me to go through.

So I can leave this trouble and go to something much better.

If you’re dealing with a tough situation in your life – with your marriage, your kids (young or old), your job/income, your physical health, a relationship, ask the Lord for His help. Believe that He will help you.

God never fails, never abandons us.

And remember that God is orchestrating, controlling, and determining everything.

Chill, God’s got you and has great things in store for you just around the corner.

Stand fast in Him and His faithfulness will shine through.

Have a great Wednesday in the name of Jesus.

Your brother in Christ,
Dave
