Justice—do you rulers know the meaning of the word?
Do you judge the people fairly?
No! You plot injustice in your hearts.
You spread violence throughout the land.
Psalm 58:1-2
There might be a better verse that captures our current country’s leadership and state of justice, but so far – this verse paints the most accurate picture of what is going on in our country right now.
Examples like the LA DA Gascon and his “approach” to handling serious or not so serious crime or California’s push to decriminalize crimes against children including sex changes without parental approval/knowledge, attempting to lessen punishment for child molestation are shining examples of what “justice” looks like today.
The result of all this injustice is violence. And as always the innocent, namely the unborn babies, the children, young adults, the elderly – the vulnerable – pay the heaviest price. How unfair, how unjust is this?
Our human nature is sinful, miserable, selfish, toxic, and downright evil.
But God.
Just as God saved a miserable, wicked, selfish, evil, vile scumbag like me, He saved you and many many others by the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. Our King. Our Savior. The lover of our souls.
In the name of Jesus, by the blood of the Lamb – the Lion and the Lamb from the tribe of Judah, we come against all this wickedness and vileness. Jesus, with all of our hearts we cry out to you – Please bring an end to the wickedness in this earth. Please do not let one more baby be murdered in or out of the womb, protect the children, the handicapped, the elderly, the vulnerable from being consumed by the enemy. We call on your name Yahweh, please save us from this sinful nature and bring glory to Your Holy name – the I AM. And please use us, your undeserving servants, to do Your perfect will Father.
In the only name that saves, Jesus, we pray.
Amen.
Have a blessed Monday!
Your brother in the trenches,
Dave
